About Sydney Rosendale
Studio Arts major at University of California, Santa Cruz
Sydney creates paintings, photos, drawings, and sculptures, that aim to increase the dynamic between artist and audience by objectifying emotions and investigating the duality that develops through different individuals. Her work is a direct response to the surrounding environment and everyday experiences, often framed instances that would go unnoticed in their original context. With a conceptual approach, she creates work that deals with the documentation of individual events and questions of how they can be presented. Her work expresses this through textural quality and color analysis of natural form. Her works are an investigation into humanistic representations as well as depictions and ideas that can only be realized through paintings.
